I do not understand the extra holes myself. How ever if the clip plate was wrong it would effect the operation ALL OF THE TIME. It could not produce good running and then bad running!?

The service manual says: "CAUTION, when re-installing the lock plate, align the holes of the lock plate with the piston holes!"

Also place the tongue of the diaphragm to the carburetor properly.
